The coolest vintage clothing shops you can visit in Calgary

14 April 20263 Mins Read

There’s something about vintage shopping that feels like a little treasure hunt. You go in thinking you’ll browse for five minutes, and suddenly you’re holding a jacket you’re convinced was made for you.

Luckily, Calgary has a pretty solid lineup of vintage shops that make finding a unique piece way too easy. If you’re ready to dig through some seriously good racks, here’s where to start.

Prairie Bazaar is one of those spots you almost feel like you’ve been let in on a secret. Hidden in the basement of a shop on Centre Street, it’s packed with colourful, curated vintage pieces from the ’60s to the early 2000s. It’s cozy, a little whimsical, and the kind of place where you could easily lose track of time.

When: Tuesday to Sunday
Time: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Where: 918 Centre St. N., Calgary, Alta.

If you’ve ever missed the era of Juicy Couture sets and bedazzed everything, Sweet Like Vintage is going to be dangerous for you.

This vintage shop is fully dedicated to women’s vintage and Y2K fashion, with racks full of True Religion denim, Paul Frank pieces, making it way too easy to get hit with all the nostalgia when shopping.

When: Tuesday to Sunday
Time: Noon to 7 p.m.
Where: 924a 17th Ave. SW, Calgary, Alta.

All Things GQ is the kind of shop that makes sustainable fashion feel easy. Every piece is hand-picked and curated with intention, focusing on timeless styles you’ll actually want to wear again and again. And in the spring and summer, you can also catch the All Things GQ vintage bus popping up around the city.

When: Wednesday to Sunday
Time: 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Where: 644B 1st Ave NE, Calgary, Alta.

Located right in the heart of Inglewood, Hello Vintage brings cowboy-inspired pieces and streetwear under one roof. Everything is carefully selected, making it easy to find bold pieces without the usual thrift-store digging.

When: Monday to Sunday
Time: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Where: 1228 9th Ave. SE, Calgary, Alta.

Wild Rabbit Vintage is for the people who like their thrift finds to have a bit of meaning behind them. Everything in the shop is carefully curated or handmade, with a big focus on sustainability and slow fashion.

When: Wednesday to Sunday
Time: Noon to 7 p.m.
Where: 535 8th Ave. SE, Calgary, Alta.

There’s just something about Calgary’s vintage shops that makes you want to keep going from one to the next. Whether it’s western-inspired pieces, Y2K gems, or a unique one-of-a-kind find, there’s always something waiting inside these shops.

And if you’ve already started thinking about your Stampede fits, this is your sign to start exploring.
