The Dali EDITION Hotel Opens in Yunnan, China

The Dali EDITION, part of Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio, has opened in Yunnan, China. Set along the slopes of Cangshan Mountain at an elevation of 2,090 meters, the hotel overlooks Erhai Lake and is approximately 23 kilometers from Dali Railway Station and 39 kilometers from Dali Fengyi Airport. The property is located near the Cangshan Mountain Scenic Area, the Three Pagodas, and Dali Old Town.

The hotel features 151 rooms and suites, including private villas with swimming pools. Designed by Shenzhen Cheng Chung Design, the property uses regional materials such as aged timber, bluestone, and Erhai Lake pebbles. Most rooms start at 60 square meters and offer views of either Erhai Lake or Cangshan Mountain. The 250-square-meter Presidential Suite includes an indoor pool, private courtyard, and terrace.

Dining venues include Market at EDITION, which offers all-day dining with a farm-to-table approach, and KUSHO, which specializes in wood-fired cooking. Additional options include the Lobby Bar and a Chinese Restaurant featuring Bai architectural elements. The Trail of the Tea Horse: A Harvest Journey tea experience is available at the Tea House within the landscaped grounds.

Event and meeting facilities comprise a Grand Ballroom with an adjoining lawn and four meeting studios equipped for conferences and exhibitions. The spa offers five private treatment rooms and therapies such as the Signature Pine Wood Massage, Jade Hot Stone Body Ritual, and Herbal Purifying Bath. The gym features modern equipment and an indoor-outdoor yoga terrace, and the property includes a 25-meter indoor swimming pool.

Experiences at the hotel include guided foraging journeys, sunrise jogs along the mountain terrain, and sound bath sessions. The Dali EDITION is the third EDITION hotel in Greater China.
