It’s that time of year again, when a comprehensive list of the happiest countries on the planet are announced – and the crown has been awarded to the same country for not the sixth, not the seventh, but the eighth year in a row.

The UN-sponsored World Happiness Report, which assesses GDP per capita, healthy life expectancy, freedom, social support, generosity and perceptions of corruption, produces a comprehensive ranking of all 147 countries – check out the top 50 below.
