The Luxury Collection has opened The Laurus, its first resort in Singapore, located at Resorts World Sentosa.

The Luxury Collection, part of Marriott International, has launched its first property in Singapore with the opening of The Laurus, a Luxury Collection Resort. The resort is situated within Resorts World Sentosa, marking a significant addition to the brand’s portfolio in Asia.

The Laurus features 183 suites and is designed by P49 Deesign. The property spans over 7,650 square meters, incorporating elements that reflect Singapore’s colonial and tropical heritage. The design features open verandas and historically inspired details, blending contemporary elegance with local cultural influences.

The resort offers a variety of amenities, including a specialty restaurant, Laurus Table, which features a menu inspired by regional cuisine. Additional facilities include a spa, a fitness center, and a landscaped pool. The property also emphasizes sustainability, with initiatives such as a smart Guest Room Management System for energy efficiency and refillable shower amenities to reduce single-use plastics.

The Laurus is on track to achieve the Building and Construction Authority’s Green Mark Platinum certification, recognizing its sustainable building practices. The resort incorporates sustainable practices throughout the guest experience, featuring filtered water faucets and a linen reuse program.

Art and design play a significant role in the resort’s identity, with elements such as a stained-glass installation featuring the Buffy Fish Owl, a native species of Southeast Asia. The property also showcases art pieces from the William Farquhar Collection of Natural History Drawings.

The Laurus aims to provide a destination-driven experience, combining local culture, nature, and hospitality. The resort’s sensory garden features native flora and promotes ecological harmony, supporting local biodiversity.
