The Luxury Collection has opened The Amnis, a new hotel in Kaohsiung, marking the brand’s entry into the Taiwanese market.
The Luxury Collection, part of Marriott Bonvoy, has announced the opening of The Amnis, a new hotel located in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. This development marks the brand’s debut in Taiwan and is situated in the Asia New Bay Area of the city.
THE AMNIS, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Kaohsiung, offers 147 guest rooms, each designed with North American timber finishes, Angora Grey marble, and floor-to-ceiling windows. Rooms range in size from 60 square meters and are equipped with soundproofing, Swedish Bolon carpets, Italian handcrafted beds, and BOSE audio systems. The bathrooms feature Villeroy & Boch basins and GROHE fixtures.
The Amnis is positioned near several cultural and waterfront attractions, including the Kaohsiung Music Center, Exhibition Center, Main Public Library, and ALIEN Art Centre. It is also connected to transportation hubs, including Kaohsiung Station, Sanduo Shopping District MRT Station, and Kaohsiung International Airport.
The hotel offers wellness facilities, including a semi-outdoor pool, sauna, steam room, and a fitness center equipped with Technogym equipment. Dining options at the hotel include the first international outpost of Japan’s UKAI Group, offering teppanyaki, Western cuisine, and kaiseki. The Dassai Bar features a collection of Junmai Daiginjo sake, while the In-Jade Lounge offers breakfast, afternoon tea, and an evening bar service.
The Amnis offers guests scheduled guided tours of local cultural sites, including the ALIEN Art Centre. The hotel features a curated collection of artwork and offers thematic experiences that highlight Kaohsiung’s cultural narratives. These include daily Epicurean Moments and a weekly guided journey called Whispers of Water, which explores the interplay of water, sound, and light.
