Tom Hardy’s fixer is back, and this time, mercy isn’t on the table. Mark your calendars – the Harrigans are coming back for round two. Paramount+ has officially set a premiere date for Season 2 of MobLand, with the British crime drama’s 10-episode return landing on Sept. 18. Alongside the announcement, Paramount released a first-look teaser, giving fans their first real glimpse at what’s ahead.
The news comes shortly after reports confirmed that star Tom Hardy will return for Season 3, following a contentious stretch that had briefly pushed him off the series. According to Variety, a London meeting between Hardy and the show’s producers helped smooth things over, paving the way for his comeback.
As for what’s ahead in Season 2, the stakes are only rising. The official synopsis teases that the Harrigan family will struggle to present a united front as new rivals close in on their already-fractured criminal empire. Hardy’s character, Harry Da Souza ( the family’s overstretched fixer) will reportedly find himself walking an increasingly dangerous line as tensions boil over. Expect fractured loyalties, mounting danger, and a power struggle with no easy outs.
Hardy leads a stacked cast that includes Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren, Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver, Anson Boon, Johnny Flynn, and Toby Jones.
MobLand was created by Ronan Bennett, with Jez Butterworth serving as executive producer and showrunner. Hardy and Guy Ritchie also executive produce, alongside David C. Glasser, Ivan Atkinson, Dean Baker, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, and Keith Cox. The series is produced in association with Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios. And because Guy Ritchie is executive producing, you can expect the music to be as stellar as the cast.
Season 2 of MobLand premieres Sept. 18 on Paramount+.
