The Ritz-Carlton, Bangkok, has officially opened, promising a blend of traditional Thai culture with international influences. Located in a 216-meter-high tower at One Bangkok, the hotel offers 260 rooms and overlooks Lumpini Park, providing a tranquil setting in the heart of the bustling city.
The Ritz-Carlton, Bangkok’s design, was the result of a collaboration between Chicago-based architects SOM and Thailand’s A49. The building features open-air terraces with expansive views of Lumpini Park and the city skyline. Inside, Thailand’s premier interior design studio, PIA, handled the hotel’s design, aiming to blend timeless elegance and modern sophistication.
The Ritz-Carlton’s rooms and suites offer a mix of classic Thai artistry and contemporary design. Many feature private loggias and terraces overlooking Lumpini Park. The accommodations range from 50-square-meter Deluxe Rooms to the 389-square-meter Ritz-Carlton Suite penthouse.
The hotel also offers a variety of dining experiences. Duet by David Toutain serves modern French cuisine, while Lily’s offers customizable sharing plates. Caleo, the hotel’s lounge, offers afternoon teas and late-night cocktails.
To ensure relaxation and rejuvenation, The Ritz-Carlton Spa offers a tranquil setting with five treatment rooms, a couple’s spa suite, and a relaxing pod. The hotel also includes a fitness center, two swimming pools, and a kids’ club for younger guests.
For events, The Ritz-Carlton, Bangkok, offers a grand ballroom that can accommodate up to 1,200 people and nine flexible function spaces.
The Ritz-Carlton, Bangkok, also aims to offer immersive cultural experiences. Guests are invited to the Terrace for a daily “Klong Yao” (Long Drum) ceremony and other activities throughout the day.
Tina Liu, the hotel’s General Manager, stated that as the first Ritz-Carlton property in Bangkok, the hotel aims to bring local traditions and culture alive through these experiences, creating memorable moments for their guests.
