The Rocco Super Smart Wine Fridge Is $200 Off for Amazon Prime Day 2025

8 July 20253 Mins Read

My biggest pick-me trait, at least in the realm of clout-worthy kitchen appliances, is my unabashed love for the Rocco Super Smart Fridge. You may have seen its sleek ads splashed across Instagram, or caught wind of the company’s collaboration with Las Jaras (the wine company of Joel Burt and comedian Eric Wareheim) last fall. But its luxury price tag has been angelically reduced by $200 for Prime Day, making it feel even more within my grasp — even if it might be in a Gollum-sure-loves-his-Malbec-chilled kind of way, and now every colorway, including a limited edition “subway orange,” inspired by the soon-to-be-replaced NYC subway seats, is on sale:

Behold, the luxury Rocco wine fridge

All of these wine fridges are just fine, but they would hardly inspire me to pen handsome love letters and ship myself by boat à la Nosferatu the way the Rocco wine fridge does.

This fridge is expensive, no doubt about it. But the price tag seems less and less outlandish the more I begin to reframe the purchase as not just a large kitchen appliance (as well as one that can free up space in my full-sized refrigerator) but an actual, 10-year-warranty-protected piece of designer furniture. I’ve never craved the aesthetic presence of a wine fridge in my living room before because, frankly, most of them are tolerable eyesores; they’re either chrome or black plastic, and/or illuminated with some kind of tacky blue lighting that should be reserved for the overhead lights on a JetBlue plane. By contrast, the Rocco fridge cuts a sleek mid-century-modern silhouette with a UV-reeded, come-hither glass door. There’s also a dedicated tray/bar cart space atop the fridge, which reminds me of the retro-futuristic Vitra wall organizers, and helps transform the piece from a garage-destined appliance to living room clout-piece.

Then there are the truly nerdy specs [opens trenchcoat]; According to the Rocco website, the fridge can handle 27 bottles of Bordeaux, 88 cans, or a mixture of both. There are also dual temperature zones that you can control via a smartphone app, and which can also give you a Big Brother-style cam view of the inside of your fridge — the latter of which is not something I need, but sure is something I would use to humble a Dimes Square-based skater with a trust fund.

I could go on, but I have to go count the change in my Acorns account. But if you bring home a Rocco fridge first, at least invite me over for a splash of something swanky?

The Rocco Super Smart Fridge is on sale here. Check out more of Eater’s Amazon Prime Day coverage here.
