STRANGER THINGS: SEASON 5. Maya Hawke as Robin Buckley in Stranger Things: Season 5. Cr. COURTESY OF NETFLIX © 2025

Missed out on the live broadcast from Hawkins? A dedicated fan has archived the entire run of the Stranger Things Season 5 promotional radio station, WSQK, ensuring the 80s tunes and some hidden lore updates live on.

Throughout the entire run of season 5, Stranger Things fans were able to tune their radio dials to WSQK: The Squawk, a “live” in-universe radio station launched by Netflix in partnership with British radio and media company Global with the station available in the UK on both DAB radio and online through the Global Player. Broadcasting straight from Hawkins, Indiana, the station served as a massive promotional vehicle for the upcoming fifth season, playing non-stop 80s hits, commercials for local businesses like the arcade, video store and Scoops Ahoy! plus cryptic news updates about the “strange” goings-on in town. Some of those cryptic messages were even interpreted by fans as being part of the crazy Conformity Gate theory about a secret episode.

The news segments often featured a skeptical newsreader reporting on “earthquakes,” military convoys, and inexplicable power outages—setting the stage for a Hawkins that is under martial law or at least heavily occupied by the government following the Season 4 finale.

Archiving this content allows the sleuths in the fandom to continue dissecting the audio for clues. Did Vance Goodman drop a hint about the time jump? Do the “Dedication” callers reveal who is still in Hawkins?

For now, while the official Global Player stream is dead, the spirit of 1980s Hawkins is very much alive. You can head over to the archive now to relive the broadcast before Stranger Things 5 finally drops on Netflix.

However, as all good limited-time events must, the official broadcast officially signed off on January 1, 2026, leaving silence on the airwaves where Vance Goodman and Mindy Flare once chattered.

The Unofficial WSQK Archive

Thanks to the dedication of one particular Stranger Things fan who goes by the name Living Human, the signal hasn’t been lost for good. They’ve launched LivingHuman.host/wsqk/, a comprehensive website that catalogs the broadcasts from the station’s run between November 24th through January 1st, 2026.

Unlike a simple YouTube playlist, the site is designed to function like a genuine media player. It features a fully navigable schedule where users can select specific dates (such as the frantic broadcasts from late December) and listen to specific segments.

What’s Available in the Archive?

The archive appears to capture the full breadth of the station’s programming. Visitors can stream specific shows that were staples of the WSQK schedule, including:

  • The Late Night Crew with Vance Goodman: The evening block hosted by the smooth-talking DJ (who fans have wildly theorized might be an anagram for Vecna).
  • The Hawkins Homerun with Mindy Flare: The high-energy afternoon slot.
  • Talk To Tammy: The station’s advice segment that often hinted at the interpersonal drama of Hawkins High.
  • Dial-A-Dedication: Where “listeners” (often voiced by familiar characters or easter-egg personalities) called in.
  • Rewind at 9: The morning trivia segment.

The site also features a “Real Time” toggle, allowing immersive listening that syncs the archived audio to your current time of day, maintaining the illusion that the station is still live.

You can also download each segment in case the website eventually becomes unavailable.
