'The Young and the Restless' Star Debuts 'Sassy' New Look To End 'Year'

It’s out with the old and in with the new for The Young and the Restless star Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea).

The CBS soap star is ending 2025 with a new look as she says goodbye to The Year of the Snake. Egan took to Instagram to reveal her new style as she does some shedding in honor of the Chinese Zodiac before 2025 comes to a close.

Keeping with the theme of change, Egan shared a video on Instagram set to the David Bowie hit song “Changes.” The actress revealed she was switching up her hairstyle.

Gone are her long brown locks, which she has sported for years. Egan’s now rocking a stylish, slick bob, and she looks fabulous with the new ‘do.

“2025 has been the Year of the Snake, time to SHED BABY!!! What will YOU be shedding as this year closes?!🐍 (special thanks to my wonderful hair babes, @whitneycolleen & @bre_lynn_hair 💞),” read the caption on her social media share.

Several of Egan’s The Young and the Restless co-stars popped up in the comments to gush over her fabulous look.

“The most beautiful woman!!❤️,” said Michelle Stafford (Phyllis).Courtney Hope (Sally) wrote, “Ur so stunning 😍.”

Elizabeth Hendrickson (Chloe) called Egan’s new do “Cutttttteeee!!!” while Lauralee Bell (Christine) echoed the same sentiment, stating, “Too cute 😍❤️.”

“So sassy!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥” declared Susan Walters (Diane). Eileen Davidson (Ashley) added, “Gorgeous!!!!!!”

Beyond the Gates star and Egan’s good friend Karla Mosley (Dani) screamed, “YUUUUUHHHHHSSSSSS.”
