Theatre Alberta News (Artstrek): Celebrating Legacies and Welcoming New Faces, Theater News

29 January 20261 Min Read

Many of you have come to know Artstrek’s Curriculum Director Linette J. Smith and Administrative Director Sue Goberdhan over the past few years – they are incredible pillars of the Alberta theatre community who have impacted the hearts and lives of all students and staff at Artstrek. Along with our Artstrek Program Director, Jenna Rodgers, Linette and Sue put all of the delicate pieces together that make Artstrek into the memorable experience that it is each summer.

These two incredible friends and colleagues are now moving on from their respective roles with Artstrek. On behalf of the Theatre Alberta board of directors, staff, and membership, we express our sincerest gratitude to Linette and Sue for the care and attention that they have devoted to the program, and its students and team members. Linette taught at Artstrek in 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2016 before joining us as Curriculum Director in 2020. Sue was an Artstrek student herself as a teen, and joined the team as Assistant Administrative Director in 2022 and as Administrative Director in 2023.
