There’s a huge festival to mark the start of spring in Toronto this month

10 March 20252 Mins Read

Spring is right around the corner, and one of Toronto’s coolest venues is throwing a week-long wellness festival to celebrate.

I am, personally, incredibly guilty of falling into the trap of believing that, despite 25 years of experiential evidence to the contrary, winter might just never end.

Other than 2024, of course, when the winter just didn’t happen at all.

Despite the fact that, without fail, spring arrives every March, Toronto winters are bleak enough to make you forget that brighter days can and will return, and that’s why Stackt Market wants to celebrate the return of the season.

Back for its second year, Stackt Market’s Spring Equinox Festival is a celebration of health, wellness and positive vibes surrounding the spring equinox on March 20.

The festival runs from March 18 to March 23 and is set to feature a slew of special programming, including fitness classes, wellness workshops and markets, all geared towards getting you ready for the advent of a sunnier season.

Kicking things off in the cutest possible way, there’ll be three separate puppy yoga classes on March 18, with golden retriever and maltese puppies to fulfill your cuteness quota while unwinding.

If you’re not much of a puppy person, you can also try out goat yoga on March 20.

You can also treat yourself by shopping to your heart’s content at a slew of pop-ups and markets taking place over the course of the festival, like a pop-up from Montreal-based clothing company, Dynamite on March 20 and a collaboration with Toronto Queer Market on March 22 and 23.

A crowd favourite that’s appeared at Stackt a number of times over the years, the Fill-A-Bag event is also back this year, giving you the chance to give your spring wardrobe a refresh.

From 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. on March 23, Steady Reserve and Prime Rewind will be setting up shop at Stackt with bins upon bins of vintage gems that you can purchase all for the flat rate of $25 for a small bag or $50 for a larger bag.

Bring your game face because you only get 15 minutes to dig through endless piles of vintage to find your goodies.

You can view the complete schedule, on top of more things happening at Stackt Market this spring, by visiting their website.
