There’s a luxury ranch in the Rockies and it’s the ultimate getaway

21 July 20252 Mins Read

Living life like you’re in an episode of Yellowstone just got a whole lot easier. The luxurious Thanksgiving Ranch will give you a taste of the cowboy lifestyle (along with that signature Alberta hospitality).

Nestled in the heart of the Canadian Rockies and surrounded by the expansive vistas of a working cattle ranch, this retreat offers guests the opportunity to revel in the rugged majesty of the Rocky Mountains.

What to expect

Thanksgiving Ranch offers a peaceful and serene escape from city life with horseback rides, mountain hikes and soul-stirring stargazing.

Luxury accommodations feature plenty of western-inspired decor, including cozy cabin-like wood walls, communal lodge eating areas, and farmhouse antiques.

This private resort is perfect for romantic getaways, multi-generational family gatherings, weddings and corporate events. If you’ve been looking for a home away from home, this just might be the place!

The best of the west

Thanksgiving Ranch maintains over 3,000 acres of pristine grassland in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies. Every summer, guests are welcomed and cattle graze on the ranch that boasts some of the most magnificent mountain views in Southwest Alberta.

The ranch attracts international tourists from Australia, Germany, the U.S. and beyond. Alberta’s world-famous local beef is a staple of their local menu, which also includes plenty of other Alberta signature offerings like canola, honey, red fife wheat, Saskatoon berries, and bison. The menu changes daily, inspired by the season and freshest produce available in a farm-to-table cuisine experience.

Visitors will enjoy homestyle meals cooked on site with the warmth of two wood-burning fireplaces and a grand dining area that gives the space a cozy cabin feel.

But the stunning views are what draw most guests to the ranch. The lodge maintains this focus with large windows throughout, inviting you to take in the surroundings at every turn.

So grab a saddle and suit up: the Thanksgiving Ranch is waiting for your next adventure.
