Brampton, Ontario, is home to its very own “mountain,” offering the perfect winter playground for skiing and snow tubing. Mount Chinguacousy is now open for the season and it’s a little adventure within the city.
If you were expecting a huge hilltop like Mount Pakenham or the slopes at Horseshoe Valley Resort, think again. This “mountain” is not much of a mountain, if we’re being honest. According to Chinguacousy Park, the hill is about 20 metres high and it has a “magic carpet-style” conveyor belt to bring people up.
The 200-metre ski run is a great spot to practice before tackling the big slopes.
Is there a fee for Mount Chinguacousy in Brampton?
Yes, you must purchase a ticket! Pricing varies depending on the activity you’re taking part in.
If you’re eager to enjoy a tubing ride, it is $13.94 for six rides, $21.15 for 12 rides and $27.88 for 18 rides. It’s important to note that the minimum height requirement is 42″.
As for skiing and snowboarding, for an hour of fun it is $14.81, a two-hour adventure is $17.50 and a three-hour escape is $20.15.
Is it open every day?
Its opening hours depending on weather and snow conditions, of course. And it’s important to note that it may be necessary to groom the hill during public hours in order to improve conditions.
But besides that, you’re ready to hit the slopes whenever your heart desires. Just be sure to check their website for any updates on the hill’s condition.
Have fun out there!
