There’s a new luxury spa in Edmonton with relaxing hydrotherapy sessions

9 June 20263 Mins Read

Elemental Recovery and Spa is Edmonton’s newest relaxation destination for hydrotherapy, massage and contrast therapy. The new spa is nothing short of luxurious, and I personally can’t wait to visit.

Situated on the north side of the city, this means those living in the area don’t have to drive downtown or to the south side for a great spa day.

It’s owned and operated by two Canadian Infantry veterans, both dedicated to a holistic and rejuvenating service.

What to expect

According to the spa’s website, there are several types of sessions offered: hydrotherapy, massage therapy, and facials. However, the main thing this particular spa is known for is the luxurious hydrotherapy circuit.

When you enter, you’ll be given a robe, two towels, and flip-flops. Once you’re all ready, the relaxation can truly begin.

You’ll start by experiencing heat through its hot pool and sauna, promoting circulation, detoxification, and deep muscle relaxation. Then, you’ll be plunged into the invigorating depths of a cold pool. The shock of cold revitalizes the body, reducing inflammation, boosting immune function, and leaving you refreshed and energized.

These hydrotherapy sessions last two hours, giving you ample time to fall into a blissful state. Rates start at $65 for sessions Monday through Thursday, and they go up to $75 on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

If you’re looking for a private session, you can book all 12 slots (meaning it’ll be just you and your friends), ranging from $700 to $820 for the two hours.

Trust me when I say there’s no spa out in the city doing it like Elemental Recovery and Spa. When they say they take luxury to the next level, they mean it. It’s an incredible experience and a great price point as well for what you’re getting out of it.

I’m definitely planning to visit, and it’s been on my go-to list since they opened. Hydrotherapy is getting more and more popular, and this place is doing it right.

Once you have the chance to wind down, you know where to go.

When: Monday to Sunday
Time: Daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Where:
 16767 127th St., Edmonton, Alta.
Cost: Varies by treatment
