There’s a village in Ontario filled with adorable shops and outdoor adventure

5 June 20252 Mins Read

Located in Bruce County, this village in Ontario is full of rich history, a stunning conservation area, and delicious spots to dine. Paisley is as adorable as its name, and here are all the things you can do while visiting.

Nature lovers will want to stop at Saugeen Buffs Conservation Area first when heading to Paisley.

This conservation area features camping spots, over 12 km of both recreational hiking and equine trails, a lookout of the Saugeen River, and even horse camping! Horse camping is certainly unique, featuring 42 sites, a large pavilion, and an event ring available for campers and their horses to use.

Paisley’s rich history is preserved at the Treasure Chest Museum. Visitors can view the many collections, including agriculture and blacksmith collections. Also available is the archives area, home to copies of publications dating back to 1865.

Hungry? Paisley has some great options for food and drinks, like Bonfire on Queen. Located right in the heart of the village, this restaurant specializes in homemade pasta and scratch pizzas made with local ingredients and baked in a stone oven. Don’t forget to grab something off the dessert menu, which features pistachio and lemon cannoli, tiramisu, and gelato — yum.

Take a stroll down Queen Street to see even more of what Paisley has to offer, such as their local shops.

Grab homemade goods from Elora Soap Company, timeless antiques from Roadrunner Collectables, or jewellery and home decor from Della Bella Boutique. All these shops are conveniently located on Queen Street and are within walking distance of one another.

A summer road trip is on the horizon.
