There’s a huge selection of private schools across Europe, but high tuition costs doesn’t mean they’re all created equal. That’s why Carfax Education has called on education consultants to help curate its fifth annual Global Schools Index: a prestigious list of the very best private schools in the world.
The company’s website reads that ‘each school [is] recognised as notable for their individual footprint in education, including academic standards, facilities, preparation for university entry, unique ethos and how they set their pupils up for life beyond academia.’
So, which institutions are excelling in all of that in Europe? Well, 15 private schools were included in the unranked roundup, and one of them was ICS Milan International School, which has three campuses across the city.
The school was highlighted because, as Carfax Education says, it is ‘preparing its pupils for the demands of the digital age by actively embracing AI to develop more personalised and adaptive learning.’
Elsewhere on the list is Schule Schloss Salem, a super prestigious German boarding school founded by the same guy who set up mega-posh UK boarding school Gordonstoun, Kurt Hahn. Students here participate in the Fire Brigade or the Red Cross, and the curriculum is a bilingual combo of German and English.
Institutions in Paris, Madrid, Rome and Lisbon were also included, and you can check out the best schools in the UK here.
