These hidden and rooftop patios are the very best in Calgary

15 May 20253 Mins Read

With the city heating up, patio season is upon us once more in Calgary. But if you’re on the hunt for hidden gems and stunning views, look no further.

We’ve compiled a handy list of some of the city’s best hidden and rooftop patios to hit up when the sun is shining and the vibes are just right.

This Sunterra location has a seriously epic rooftop patio located on top of the Keynote. We’d say this is a pretty shiny hidden gem.

Address: 200 12th Ave. SE, Calgary

Located just inside the Gasoline Alley Museum, the Selkirk’s patio has stunning views of Glenmore Reservoir and the Rockies. Diners will be treated to dishes with ingredients freshly picked from Heritage Park’s heirloom garden. Best of all, you don’t even need to pay museum admission to visit.

Address: 1900 Heritage Dr. SW, Calgary

Patrons can head to Bonterra’s stunning Tuscan garden terrace on a sunny day. Enjoy authentic Italian eats while surrounded by a green and romantic atmosphere.

Address: 1016 8th St. SW, Calgary

The Wilde on 27 boasts Calgary’s highest rooftop patio, where you can enjoy lunch and dinner with a view. The intimate patio is 27 floors above street level, and even has heaters so you can soak in the vibes long after the sun sets.

Address: The Dorian Hotel – 525 5th Ave. SW, Calgary

National on 8th has one of Western Canada’s largest rooftop patios. With tons of seating, ping pong tables, cornhole games, and full-service patio bars, this is one of the best patios in the city.

Address: 360-225 8th Ave. SW, Calgary

Enjoy the sun and a glass of wine elevated above 4th Avenue on Vin Room West’s awesome upper patio.

Address: 2310 4th St. SW, Calgary

Tucked away inside Hotel Arts, Poolside by Freestyle Social Club gives South Beach, Miami vibes without even needing to leave the city. It offers plenty of poolside snacks as well as signature cocktails to sip in the sunshine.

Address: Hotel Arts – 119 12th Ave. SW, Calgary

Located on the roof of the Simmons Building, Connie & John’s Rooftop offers incredible views of the city skyline and Bow River. It also offers a large pizza menu and a full raw bar. It is set to open later this spring.

Address: 618 Confluence Way SE, Calgary

Tucked behind its distinctive pink building, Moonlight & Eli boasts a large garden, perfect for enjoying fondue and champagne in the sunshine. The spot is certainly one of the best-kept secrets in Bridgeland.

Address: 627 1st Ave. NE, Calgary

What’s better than enjoying delicious Indian bites in the sun? Calcutta Cricket Club’s secluded patio behind its first street location seats up to 40 people and is just as lively as its restaurant.

Address: 1213 1st St. SW, Calgary
