These Ontario gems were named on Canada’s Most Beautiful Places list

3 June 20252 Mins Read

Canada certainly doesn’t lack beautiful spots, home to vast waterfalls, rolling hills, sparkling lakes and lush forests. Recently, Travel + Leisure put out its list of the 25 Most Beautiful Places in Canada, and two Ontario gems earned a mention.

“As the world’s second-largest country, Canada is home to many stunning locales, ranging from large metropolises and iconic national parks to quaint small towns and remote islands,” shares Travel + Leisure in its breakdown.

Alright, drumroll please. Here are the places in Ontario that made the cut.

Niagara Falls

While Travel + Leisure doesn’t mention if the list is in any particular order, Niagara Falls was listed as number one.

The outlet mentions that the “campy” vibe of Niagara Falls makes it a must-visit and that it’s composed of three different waterfalls in total.

Niagara-on-the-Lake

I sense a theme here.

Coming in at number 12 is Niagara-on-the-Lake, just 25 minutes by car from Niagara Falls.

“This picturesque lakefront town near Niagara Falls is especially popular with oenophiles. Sample wines from a few local makers, then wander through the Historic Old Town, lined with charming mom-and-pop shops, boutiques, bakeries, and eateries,” notes Travel + Leisure.

If you want to spend as much time outdoors as possible, the outlet says to head over to Queen’s Royal Park, and if you’re looking to book a stay, check out Oban Inn, Spa and Restaurant.

British Columbia took seven spaces on the list of 25 (the most of all the provinces), while Newfoundland and Labrador came in with three spots.

If you’re looking to do some in-province travel this summer, you can add Niagara Falls and Niagara-on-the-Lake to your travel plans.

Do you agree with the picks for Canada’s most beautiful places?
