Think you have what it takes to be a K-pop star? Your dreams of performing in front of millions of adoring fans are just one small step closer to becoming a reality. Retopia Salon, an entertainment company founded by former Hybe executives (think BTS), will hold a K-pop audition in Toronto this June.
You have a few weeks to get your act together, practice and perfect your craft before your audition on June 7, 2026. The 2026 Retopia Salon Global Audition: USA & Canada will go down at Dreammakers in Toronto.
What to know
According to the audition organizers, it’s all part of a large-scale global project to select the final members of Retopia Salon’s first boy group. They are scheduled to debut in 2027.
In addition to finding the right members for the boy group, recruiters will also look into talent for a future girl group launch. Toronto’s audition is just one out of 18 being held in cities across the world.
Unfortunately for us 90s babies, our chance of K-Pop stardom has been cut short. Only those born between 2008 and 2014 are eligible to participate. And that’s regardless of gender or nationality. As for audition categories, participants can apply for either vocal, rap, dance, or acting – all within a minute.
“Under our vision, ‘Make Dreams Real,’ Retopia Salon is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of artists based on our extensive experience in the entertainment industry,” said Bang Woo Jung, CEO of Retopia Salon.
“We look forward to meeting talented individuals through this global audition and hope it will serve as a meaningful first step for those aspiring to perform on the global stage.”
Retopia Salon will also host global auditions in multiple regions, such as Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, Australia, and the United States.
But as for Canada, Toronto is the only city hosting auditions. So expect eager participants from across the country to join in on the thrilling experience.
Good luck out there!
