After fronting Hootie & the Blowfish to platinum-selling success in the ‘90s and becoming a solo country star in the 2000s,Darius Rucker is a huge multi-genre star, so it makes sense that he’d be able to hold and headline his own festival.
It’s called Riverfront Revival and it’s set for Oct. 10 and 11 at Riverfront Park in North Charleston, S.C. Rucker headlines the second day of the festival, Saturday, Oct. 11.

The bill also includes various rising country and Americana stars including Riley Green, the Red Clay Strays, Lukas Nelson and more on Friday, Oct. 10 while Whiskey Myers, Flatland Cavalry, Brittney Spencer and others join the Hootie & the Blowfish frontman on day two of the festival, Saturday, Oct. 11.
Perhaps the biggest surprise on the bill is the “very special guest” Bill Murray & His Blood Brothers, featuring the legendary Saturday Night Live actor and longtime movie star.
“My love for Charleston has influenced so much of my career,” Rucker said in the statement. “Riverfront Revival, which made my longtime dream of bringing a music festival to this community a reality, is a celebration of the Lowcountry that gets better every year.”
The festival is now in its fourth year. Presale tickets will be available Friday, April 10.
Fans and some artists on the bill are pumped up and ready, based on comments on the festival’s official Instagram account.
“Oh I’m so ready,” posted singer Faith Schueler who is on the bill for day one of the festival, while Flatland Calvary, who are playing day two posted, “🤠🤠🤠.”
“DAMNNNNN!! Smokin hot! Hell yeah 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥,” posted one fan, while another added, “SO GOOD OMG.”
