Coldplay kicked off the North American leg of their Music of the Spheres World Tour on May 31 at Sanford Stadium in Sanford, Calif.

While the band is just returning to the U.S., they have been filling stadiums elsewhere in the world. In fact, Coldplay was the top touring act in the world in April, according to Billboard Boxscore.

The band raked in $67.4 million and sold 502,000 tickets that month with shows in Hong Kong and Goyang, South Korea (near Seoul), per the report.

Those box-office chart-topping numbers come as the band will soon celebrate the 25th anniversary of their debut album, Parachutes, which was released on July 10, 2000. The album features the hit single “Yellow,” which broke Coldplay worldwide, hitting the top 10 in the U.K. and appearing on eight different Billboard charts in the U.S., including the top 10 of the publication’s Modern Rock’s chart

Coldplay is no stranger to the top of the Boxscore charts since the band started their Music of the Spheres Worl Tour back in 2022. The band has topped the Top Tours chart seven previous times, tying Bad Bunny and Elton John for the most months at No. 1.

The band’s latest chart-topping month consisted of a quartet of shows at Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong along with six dates at South Korea’s Goyang Stadium. The dates in Hong Kong pulled in a gross of $32.9 million with 184,000 tickets sold, with the South Korea run raked in $34.4 million for ticket sales of 318,000.
