This haunted house near Edmonton returns after three years in the dark

7 October 20252 Mins Read

After three whole years, the Haunted Hike is returning in Vegreville for the ultimate scares this season.

The Haunted Hike began in Sherwood Park over a decade ago and returned after a seven-year hiatus in 2019. This year, the Haunted Hike is reopening in Vegreville with all-new spectacular experiences in a new building. Whether you’re a longtime fan or a newcomer, they promise an unforgettable experience.

If you’re looking for an ultra-scary haunted house to knock your socks off, you’ve found it.

What to expect

This experience runs every weekend up until Nov. 2.

A couple of changes have been made for its return in 2025. This includes a new building with brand-new rooms, interactive scares featuring live actors, enhanced special effects and animatronics, as well as a new VIP experience with exclusive access.

There’s a Kids Hour, which is a family-friendly haunt with no actors, and the Scary Hour, which includes the full experience with actors. Depending on the vibe you’re going for that night, or if your kids are tagging along, there are options for you.

Ticket pricing depends on the date, time, and demand, so get your tickets as soon as possible. You don’t want to miss out on this adventure! Speed passes are also available for those who aren’t the biggest fans of waiting in line.

For Edmontonians, this experience is approximately a one-hour drive. If you’re ready for the scares this season, buckle in!

When: Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday until Sunday, Nov. 2, 2025
Where: 5225 52nd Ave., Vegreville, Alta.
Cost: $20+
