This hidden GTA spot has an epic AYCE Spanish buffet, and It might be the most unique brunch around, Canada Reviews

There’s an all-you-can-eat buffet brunch, and then there’s Tapagria’s Spanish-inspired Asado weekend buffet, a full-on tapas feast that goes way beyond your usual eggs-and-waffles spread.

The Spanish tapas restaurant is tucked inside a Thornhill plaza, but it’s serving up one of the GTA’s most unique AYCE brunch experiences, complete with rotating offerings and staples like paella, grilled seafood, tapas, a dry-aged beef carving station, velvety pastries and fruity drinks.

It’s so good that influencers are saying there’s “really nothing else like it in the Toronto area.”

Work your way through a sprawling buffet spread that blends tapas faves like mushroom croquetas, jamón-wrapped dates, beef empanadas, calamari frito and patatas bravas with paellas loaded with beef steak, roasted red peppers and chorizo. The restaurant’s signature seafood paella normally features octopus and lobster tail, while seafood lovers can also look out for dishes like sherry garlic shrimp.

And then there’s the dessert! The buffet has a huge tableside Basque cheesecake experience, where guests can choose toppings like chocolate or dulce de leche. Or dig into more Spanish-inspired sweets like homemade churros and torrija (think French toast, but Spanish style).

And because you’ll likely be thirsty, sip on several craft sangrías by the glass (or pitcher, whatever your mood), with options like traditional red wine sangría with brandy and pomegranate, a lychee mint version with white wine and lychee liqueur, and tropical blends with ingredients like guava, pineapple and mint. Cocktails like tropical mimosas, espresso martinis and jardín spritzes are also available.

Tapagria Spanish Tapas Restaurant is located at 230 Commerce Valley Dr. E. in Thornhill/Markham. The experience runs every Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., with two-hour seatings.
