This high tea party near Edmonton wouldn’t be complete without the cutest Highland cows

5 June 20263 Mins Read

This high tea party combines all the best sandwiches and desserts with the whimsical nature of Highland cows; what more could you want?

Out east of Edmonton is Grazing Acres, a destination created in 2020, made especially for all those lovers of the special Highland cows. This destination was made purely from a love for these cows, and ever since its creation, it’s held a plethora of events just like this Highland High Tea. Although right now, this event is definitely the highlight.

Not familiar with Highland cows? They’re a specific breed of rustic cow, known for its long, fuzzy coat of fur and sweeping horns. Truth be told, I don’t think there’s anything cuter than these guys.

If you’re looking to visit these fuzzy creatures in the sanctity of their home while eating some great food, this is your chance.

What to expect

Tickets are $90, and I’d recommend getting them fast, because the June 20th date for this event is coming up, and you won’t want to miss out. Once you purchase your tickets, you’ll be sent the address. When you arrive, you’ll be there for two hours, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Throughout this time, you’ll experience a long table tea party with two courses (one sweet, one savoury), and you’ll get to meet and greet the cows. Most importantly, you’ll be able to take in the quaint vibes — a perfect escape from the city.

While you bask in the farm atmosphere, you can take bites from delicious eats. All of the long table dishes will be from the local Edmonton Old Beverly Cafe. This spread will consist of traditional high tea fare, including scones, sweets, and sandwiches.

This upcoming event is taking place on June 20, but there will be chances to meet the cows on other occasions this summer if you can’t make it. Check the website for all the events coming up for the best chance at meeting these furry beasts.

If you consider yourself even moderately enamoured by these cows, you absolutely cannot miss out. Book your tickets soon, folks, you won’t want to miss this tea party.

When: Saturday, June 20, 2026
Time: 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: Grazing Acres, Alta. (address provided upon ticket purchase)
Cost: $90
