This Hotel Was Named the World’s No. 1 for the Second Year in a Row

A hotel in Hong Kong has officially been named the best hotel in the world for 2026, and it’s a name that may sound familiar.

Rosewood Hong Kong has taken the No. 1 spot on The 50 Best Hotels 2026 ranking for the second consecutive year, making it the first hotel to win the coveted title two years in a row.

The 65-story hotel, which opened in 2019 as part of the Victoria Dockside development, overlooks Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong’s skyline. The property has 413 rooms and suites, 11 restaurants and bars, and the Asaya Spa by Guerlain. According to The 50 Best, Rosewood Hong Kong’s ability to deliver personalized service despite its size helped distinguish it from the other hotels on this year’s list.

Rosewood Hong Kong also took home the title of The Best Hotel In Asia.

The annual ranking, which celebrates hotels across 22 destinations and six continents, was unveiled September 15 at a ceremony in Paris.

The top five hotels for 2026 also include two properties in Bangkok. Capella Bangkok came in at No. 2, followed by Four Seasons Bangkok at Chao Phraya River at No. 3. Atlantis The Royal in Dubai ranked No. 4, while Passalacqua in Lake Como rounded out the top five.
