This nature expo in Edmonton is the city’s largest botanical market

22 April 20262 Mins Read

Calling all plant lovers and tree-huggers, you’re going to want to be in Edmonton for this one.

This Saturday comes the biggest botanical market in Edmonton: the Naturecore Expo. With over 80 vendors showcasing various plants, plant-related paraphernalia, artisan items, and more, you won’t want to miss out on this nature extravaganza.

Saturday will mark the biggest nature expo yet, so mark your calendars and get ready for the weekend!

What to expect

The expo is in a new venue! After years of shopping around at various venues, the expo is ready for an even bigger and better spot. This time, it’s taking over North East River Valley Park’s event centre.

It’ll be held this Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. It’s the best way to spend an afternoon: shopping around, surrounded by lovely plants and like-minded folks.

This time, there will be houseplants, local art, flash tattoos, food trucks and so many more exciting booths. There are two tattoo artists and one henna artist, for those looking for something a little less permanent.

In terms of food, there are going to be three different food trucks and one dessert spot. One of the food trucks I have to recommend is El Mero Mero Tacos, because it just has the best Mexican street food you could ask for.

One of the most notable aspects of the expo is its 100 per cent community-driven stance. There is no tolerance for AI or MLMs in its market, and this stance is put into practice. So, when you’re shopping around, it’s all hard work from real artists.

If you’re a plant fanatic, a casual planter, or just someone who loves to stroll and shop, this might just be the place for you this weekend. Don’t hesitate to head on down; you might just end up finding the plant of your dreams.

When: Saturday, April 25, 2026
Time: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Event Centre Northeast River Valley Park — 903 153rd Ave. NE, Edmonton, Alta.
Cost: Free
