This Ontario beach park is home to one of Canada’s biggest wave pools

27 May 20263 Mins Read

Confederation Beach Park is one of those places you have to experience to believe it really exists in Ontario. The weather is getting warmer, and we’re just inching closer to the summer season. If you’re in need of plans, why not make the trip to this ultimate beach park experience, fully equipped with an amusement park, water park, and more, all in one place.

You will have to make the long, long trip to Hamilton, Ont. But from Toronto, it’s nothing more than an hour’s drive west of the city.

The park is home to a variety of attractions. We’re talking bumper cars, hiking trails, a swimmable beach, outdoor laser tag, restaurants, mini golf, and even batting cages.

What to do at Confederation Beach Park

Here you’ll find hiking trail adventures, including the 8 km multi-use Hamilton Beach Trail that runs through the park. This route is part of the provincial Waterfront Trail, which extends from Niagara-on-the-Lake to Quebec. Imagine that trek.

But two of the biggest draws to this area are the amusement park and the water park.

Adventure Village offers a number of fun activities like bungee trampoline, a 25-foot realistic rock climbing wall, gemstone mining and mini golf. It’s officially open for the season, so if you’re looking for something fun to do on the weekend, this is a great idea.

As for Wild Waterworks, the massive water park, it is home to six heart-pumping slides and one of Canada’s largest outdoor wave pools!

But for this attraction, you’ll have to wait until the summer season begins. Its opening date has yet to be revealed.

As for Confederation Park itself, here’s where you’ll find Lakeland Kartways, which is Canada’s longest-running go-kart track.

After your long, yet exciting day in the park grounds, you need a little break to fuel up. Enjoy one of the many restaurants at Confederation Beach Park.

You don’t have to wait until summer to enjoy this park! I say, go this weekend – enjoy yourself and this beautiful weather.

Where: 680 Van Wagners Beach Rd. – Hamilton, Ont.
