Princess Catherine, 44, just shared a heartwarming set of photos on the Royal Family’s Instagram from the recent National Three Peaks Challenge to highlight the incredible fundraising effort for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. This is important news in light of Kate Middleton’s recent forthright remarks about her battle with cancer. But fans couldn’t help but notice something else entirely: Prince George is nearly as tall as his mom.
In one of the photos, Princess Catherine can be seen with one arm around Prince George while chatting with youngest son Prince Louis and George is meeting her almost exactly at eye level. In another shot taken from behind, the Princess of Wales is seen patting George on the back, with the future king appearing to be at or very near her height. *Cue every royal fan collectively gasping and saying “when did THAT happen?”

“This time last week, completing the National Three Peaks Challenge,” Catherine wrote alongside the photos on Sunday, July 5. “A huge thank you to everybody who has supported The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. To find out more or donate, please visit link in bio.”
The mountaineering challenge – which takes place across mountains in Scotland, England, and Wales – was clearly a family affair, with Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis all featured in the stunning photos.
For Catherine, the challenge was about more than just the physical feat – the princess has spoken openly about wanting to push herself beyond her comfort zone following her cancer journey, making this milestone a momentous occasion.
The charity work is absolutely worth celebrating but we have a feeling royal fans everywhere are also going to be having a moment, talking about how Prince George is all grown up. Where does the time go?
