This special train from Toronto to Oktoberfest comes with perks

26 September 20253 Mins Read

PROST! If you didn’t know, the largest Oktoberfest celebration outside of Munich happens right here in Ontario’s Kitchener-Waterloo. If you live in downtown Toronto, you may run into a couple of issues: no car to get there, or having a car but wanting to enjoy some drinks. Well, GO Transit has put together the perfect solution, and it even comes with free entry to the Willkommen Platz event.

On Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025, GO Transit will run a special service on the Kitchener line from Toronto to Kitchener, providing fast and safe transportation to the Oktoberfest festivities.

“Buy your LederGOsen Line ticket for round-trip service to Kitchener GO station and access to the K-W Oktoberfest’s Wilkommen Platz event VIP experience, all for $13.99,” shares GO Transit.

So, what does VIP come with?

The VIP Area has some of the best views of the Mainstage, plus some potentially much-needed heaters and seating. The area also includes a VIP Cash Bar. If you’re in the VIP section, you also get access to a handful of giveaways throughout the day/evening.

The service will depart Union Station at 12:35 p.m. and will arrive at Kitchener GO at 2:23 p.m.

The outbound train to Union Station will depart Kitchener GO at 9:02 p.m. and will arrive at Union Station at 11:48 p.m.

You’ll certainly need the whole day, as there will be a little of everything. Browse through over 60 vendors at the market, enjoy live entertainment, or hang out in one of the many bier gardens.

The areas will be car-free, so you can walk the streets with no issues, too.

Don’t forget your lederhosen and be safe, Toronto!
