So, we’ve been all about hidden gems of late and Toronto will soon have a new pop-up zen café in Trinity Bellwoods to look forward to that’s so charming it’ll be your new go-to spot for a little serenity in the middle of the city.
Moonshine will soft-open Wed., Aug. 12, behind the Laurie Fleming Jewellery storefront (919 Queen St W) in collaboration with artisanal art gallery Archi Element. Inside you’ll find ethereal fine jewelry alongside creative desserts and handcrafted tea drinks (served in novel ceramics, naturally), but what makes the space so dreamy is that it has the most gorgeous secret garden, so you’ll have the perfect backdrop to a mid-afternoon café stop!
Sip on creative concoctions like the specialty Green Beard matcha drink, crafted with rich soy milk, a velvety savoury-sweet soy cheese foam, and a swerve of nutty kinako (roasted soybean) powder. Or try the Moon Cherry Hojicha, featuring roasted Japanese green tea and topped with a sweet cherry foam, or the Moonrise mocktail tea spritz followed by an Oolong Tonic.
Moonshine soft opens Aug. 12-14 at 919 Queen St W, behind Laurie Fleming Jewellery. Visit anytime between 11 am and 6 pm and be amongst the first to sip and discover! The grand opening takes place Aug. 15-16, with the first 100 guests on each day receiving a complimentary fragrance from @the7virtues with any purchase.
After visiting Moonshine, check out this new café in Little Portugal that turns into a late-night club house!
