This winter festival in Edmonton will debut brand-new performances

Some great performers are coming to Edmonton for MacEwan’s Winter Fest!

Winter Fest is a student-run event from MacEwan in January featuring live performances from popular emerging artists. It will be held at the Starlite Room, a popular music venue in Edmonton for great musical talent.

SAMU is MacEwan’s Student Association, which helps organize a variety of events for University students as well as the public. This is just one of the many exciting activities the public can grab tickets to, so you don’t want to miss out.

What to expect

Last year, SAMU got names like Preston Pablo, Whipped Cream, Ari Hicks, and Kuzi Cee. This year, they’ve got an even better lineup.

Doors open to the Starlite Room for Winter Fest on Jan. 16 at 7:30 p.m., and the performances kick off at 8:15 p.m.

Pertinence will begin the evening with R&B hits, followed by PARTYOF2 at 9:20 p.m., INJI at 10:30 p.m., and charlieonafriday finishing off the set at 11:35 p.m. SAMU also created a playlist with all the music that will be featured on Spotify, if you want to listen to the tunes beforehand.

If you want to see all the performances, you can expect to stay at the Starlite Room until about 12:30 a.m.

MacEwan students are able to purchase tickets for $10, and non-students can also buy tickets for $20. Coat check will also be available for a fee.

Keep in mind, this event is for those 18 and over, so make sure to bring your ID.
