Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow and Sweeney Todd get the 4K steelbook treatment

If you’re the kind of person who won’t stop waxing poetic about The Nightmare Before Christmas or take great pride in explaining why Wednesday is Tim Burton’s best TV series yet, then you’re going to be in for a real treat this September.

As revealed by IGN, two phenomenal classics from Tim Burton’s filmography are getting their very own 4K steelbooks this year: Sleepy Hollow and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. While the former is a reprint, this marks the first time that the Demon Barber of Fleet Street will be receiving the steelbook treatment.

Based on the 1820 short story The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving, Burton’s 1999 gothic film follows Ichabod Crane (Johnny Depp) who is sent to investigate a series of brutal murders in the mysterious village of Sleepy Hollow. He soon falls in love with Katrina Van Tassel (Christina Ricci), which brings its own slew of problems.

Depp stars once again in Burton’s take on the movie adaptation of Stephen Sondheim’s stage musical of the same name, Sweeney Todd. This time Depp is joined by Helena Bonham Carter as Todd’s right-hand woman, the equally charming and diabolical Mrs Lovett. The film follows Todd as he seeks revenge against Judge Turpin (Alan Rickman), who got Todd sent to prison in order to steal his wife and daughter from him.
