Frontmezzjunkies reports: Titaníque on Broadway in 2026
If you’ve ever walked out of a show with your cheeks sore from laughing, feathers ruffled from absurdity, and a ridiculous, unshakeable Celine song humming through your head, then you already know the Titaníque experience. I knew that when I saw Titaníque Off-Broadway at the Daryl Roth Theatre, where the “high seas magnificently cheeky adventure” had me grinning from bow to stern, that this was something special. So yes, my heart almost exploded when I heard the news: Titaníque, the Céline Dion jukebox musical parody phenomenon, is officially setting a course for Broadway in 2026 with a 16-week limited engagement at the St. James Theatre (former home of a whole different sort of Queen), beginning March 26 and an opening night on April 12.
For those who somehow haven’t yet been swept away by this glorious, irreverent tidal wave of camp and song, let me remind you why this matters: Titaníque is, in the words of my own Off-Broadway review, “a high seas … ridiculously right” piece of theatrical mischief that should not be missed. Co-created by and starring the magnificently funny and supremely gifted Marla Mindelle (who is about to star in A Kidman Carol) as Céline “Fu**ing” Dion, the show overflows with only Dion hits, sung to delightfully absurd effect, and earns its silliness with precision, passion, and heartfelt musicality. I still can’t get over how Mindelle “sings and improvises gloriously,” causing classic moments of infectious hilarity that had the entire house collapsing in laughter. (you can read my full review here: front mezz junkies)
What makes this Broadway transfer feel not just exciting but necessary is how Titaníque took something familiar, a beloved blockbuster and an iconic discography, and turned it into pure theatrical joy. The show began as a one-night concert in Los Angeles in 2017, found a devoted audience downtown in New York, and blossomed into a three-year Off-Broadway run that defied expectations and became a genuine cult hit. Along the way, it spilled out into the world with productions in London, Australia, Canada, and beyond, proving that when a show is this infectious and this much fun, it finds its way into the hearts of audiences everywhere.
Marla Mindelle is happily set to reprise her original role, and while the rest of the Broadway casting is to be announced, you can bet theatre lovers everywhere will be paying full Dion attention. There’s something undeniably joyful about the idea of this unabashedly silly, deeply loved musical celebration of chaos and Céline finding a home on the big St. James stage, and I, for one, cannot wait to see if Titaníque manages to replicate that Off-Broadway magic on Broadway proper. This is the Queen Broadway needs, so cue the ballads, and get ready for your heart to go on and on, as Broadway is about to become a whole lot more Celine.
