Toronto’s getting a two-floor vendors market inside an abandoned building

8 October 20253 Mins Read

Oh, fall. ‘Tis the season for coffee dates, scenic walks and weekend markets. Two of Toronto’s popular vendor markets are back again with a two-floor shopping experience inside an abandoned building.

The Welcome Market has teamed up once again with the popular Hippie Market to bring the abandoned ex-Anthropologie location at 761 Queen St. W., back to life with over 40 of Toronto’s amazing local businesses.

What to expect

Expect to find vendors selling luxury designer goods, handmade goods, and some of Toronto’s best vintage.

“We are thrilled to bring this one-of-a-kind collab to the vibrant streets of Queen West,” shares Cindy Chau, founder of The Welcome Market.

Chau created the Welcome Market in an effort to support small businesses in Toronto and aid in connecting them with customers in person while networking with other like-minded entrepreneurs. So this collaboration just makes sense.

“The markets we operate are keystones in the evolution and growth of small businesses in our city. This event is the ultimate opportunity to celebrate our culture and community,” says Kealan Sullivan, founder of Hippie Market Life.

Sullivan was invited to help bring the vacant, historic two-storey space back to life. Their solution was to fill it with local businesses, turning the space into a vibrant marketplace that supports the community.

To expand its reach and support more local vendors, Hippie Market reached out to the Welcome Market to bring this plan to fruition.

Back in June 2025, the two hosted their first partnership at the Anthropologie space, garnering a lot of attention online and in person. Their first joint market had over 1,000 customers in a single day.

Now, it’s all happening again on Oct. 18 and 19, 2025.

If you missed the last one, be sure to check it out this time around. You don’t want to miss it.
