Toronto’s haunted castle experience to bring a horrifying return next month

16 September 20253 Mins Read

Halloween season in Toronto is incomplete without this beloved theatrical experience. The annual Legends of Horror at Casa Loma returns this October for a supernatural event that’ll give you nightmares!

Mark your calendars for Oct. 3, 2025, and get your tickets for one of Toronto’s best and popular horror experiences.

What to expect

Legends of Horror returns for its tenth year, presenting a theatrical interpretation of classic characters, themes, and décor, known as promenade theatre.

The spooky adventure includes jumpstarts and surprises at each turn, dramatic lighting, 3D imagery projections and animatronics. You’ll embark on a 2 km outdoor walking trail which starts in the lower gardens of the property and winds its way through to Sir Henry Pellatt’s underground tunnels.

You’ll then venture to the castle’s haunted stables, where you’ll see Dr. Frankenstein and his cast of monsters and creatures.

“Is it immersive? Absolutely. This season, we’ve reimagined many of the details—introducing haunting new characters and layered surprises that transform the space into an environment of theatrical intrigue,” said Nadia Di Donato, vice president and creative director, Liberty Entertainment Group.

“Our vision is to curate the ultimate seasonal experience for guests of all ages, where each visit reveals something unexpected. Get ready for an unforgettable Halloween walk in the city’s most spectacular historical backdrop.”

For those of age, enjoy the Captain Morgan Bar and Lounge, where guests can refuel with Halloween-themed bar and drink options. This is a pitstop before you continue your journey through the castle.

“Every year, Casa Loma transforms into the city’s most authentic Halloween destination,” said Nick Di Donato, president & CEO, Liberty Entertainment Group.

“The castle comes alive with immersive sets, spine-chilling performances, and unforgettable moments that capture the spirit of the season. We invite guests to gather their monsters, friends, and families to experience Toronto’s ultimate Halloween tradition.”

Tickets

Tickets are on sale now for the annual horror event, starting at $45 online, $50 onsite. Pricing is set to change starting Oct. 17 until the closing day on Nov. 1 by an additional $10.
