Toronto’s largest waterpark opens this week with adrenaline pumping rides and a lazy river, Life in canada

3 June 20253 Mins Read

Summer is almost here, and if you’re looking for things to do in Toronto to cool off and enjoy the sunshine, you might want to grab your swimsuit and sunscreen — the GTA’s largest waterpark is reopening this weekend.

Wet’n’Wild Toronto is set to kick off its season on Saturday, June 7, promising a packed summer schedule filled with rides, family-friendly attractions and some new events. Located about 30 minutes from Toronto, it’s a solid day trip option for all ages.

The park includes everything from the relaxing Muskoka Soakah lazy river to the splashy chaos of the Big Surf Wave Pool. For younger visitors, spots like Bear Footin’ Bay and Wet’n’Wild Jr. offer safe, kid-friendly fun.

For the adrenaline junkies, there are plenty of thrill rides to dive into — literally.

Here’s a closer look at what’s reopening at Wet’n’Wild this summer and what you can get up to at the GTA’s largest water park.

Oh Canada!

Not for the faint of heart — this ride starts with you standing upright in a capsule before the floor suddenly drops out. You’re sent free-falling through a vertical chute that loops into a full 360˚.

Bermuda Triangle

This is a series of twisty body slides that whip you around before launching you straight into a pool.

Klondike Express

If you are competitive, this will be right up your alley. On the Klondike Express, you lie on your front and race against your friends down a fast slide. There’s also a 360˚ loop, and once you come out of it, there are racing lanes.

Caribbean Chaos

Hop into a float and prepare to twist, turn, and drop down a steep chute that ends with a dramatic splash on the crest of a wave.

Typhoon

A bowl-style ride where your float circles at speed before you’re pulled into a steep descent through the centre hole. Fast, dizzying, and fun.

Polar Pipeline and Tropical Twister

These are both thrilling tube slides negotiating fast turns before plunging you into a pool of water.

Cannonball Falls

While this ride is short in time and length, it packs a serious punch. Your body slides down and is propelled straight into the deep water below. Eek!

Why You Need To Go: With a lineup of high-adrenaline rides, chill zones and family-friendly features, Wet’n’Wild offers something for most age groups. Whether you’re a parent with kids, a group of teens, or a couple looking for a weekend activity, there are lots of ways to spend the day.

If you’re planning to visit more than once, it might be worth looking into the season pass option.
