Toronto’s waterfront is getting a lively new summer concert series

19 June 20263 Mins Read

Concerts by the Lake is a thrilling new summer series coming to Toronto’s Waterfront, and the first concert on the lineup takes place on Friday.

The Harbourfront Centre has a busy summer ahead, filled with a number of spectacular experiences for all. From being an official fan destination in Toronto during the World Cup to a musical hub for all sorts of acts, it will surely be a summer to remember by the waterfront.

“As usual, across our campus you will experience a vibrant mix of festivals, live performances, exhibitions and hands-on creative experiences that reflect the diversity and creativity of this city,” shares the destination.

Concerts by the Lake

As for this new musical experience, the flagship concert series is set to bring big artists and global headliners to what Harboufront is describing as “a completely reimagined open-air venue.”

Expect alt-folk shows and ’90s hip-hop dance to community block parties, Pride celebrations and a Caribbean soca fete, too.

Skratch Bastid’s BBQ, usually held under The Bentway, is bringing live music and smoky BBQ to the waterfront this year.

It’s a one-of-a-kind summer celebration hosted by the internationally acclaimed DJ and producer.

“Known for his genre-defying sets, turntable mastery and high-energy performances, Skratch Bastid has built a global reputation through collaborations with major artists, festival appearances and his legendary party series,” shares Harbourfront.

“His signature blend of hip-hop, soul, funk, dancehall and party classics has made him one of Canada’s most influential DJs and a crowd favourite around the world.”

Who else is in the lineup?

These upcoming concerts are part of the new series and will take over the harboufront this summer:

  • Maribou State on Friday, June 19, 2026
  • GAY DREAMS on Saturday, June 27, 2026
  • Bastid’s BBQ – summer block party on Saturday, July 25, 2026
  • Wing Night (The Band) on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2026
  • RuPaul on Saturday, Aug, 22, 2026
  • SOS Fest: Michael Montano & Friends on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026

Ticket prices vary by event. So if you’re in the mood for a summer party, get your tickets ASAP.
