‘TRANSFORMERS Forged to Fight’ Is Shutting Down (Again) and Leaving Netflix Games

Another title is getting ready to roll out of the Netflix Games library. We’ve learned, as confirmed by a notice within the Netflix app itself, that the action-RPG TRANSFORMERS Forged to Fight is officially leaving the service on May 8th, 2026.

Originally developed by Kabam, the mobile brawler made its grand debut on Netflix Games on May 10th, 2023. If you do the math, that means the title is departing just two days shy of its three-year anniversary on the platform—heavily implying that a standard three-year licensing agreement has simply run its course.

For those who haven’t jumped in, TRANSFORMERS Forged to Fight brought classic Autobots and Decepticons into a surprisingly deep fighting and role-playing experience. Players were tasked with building their ultimate team from across the franchise’s multiverse, shoring up base defenses, and brawling it out in intense arena matches.

The game coming to Netflix actually served as its first revival, given that it initially launched app stores independently in 2017 and was later shut down in 2023 shortly before its move to Netflix.

As with all Netflix Game removals, once the May 8th deadline hits, the game will no longer be playable via the Netflix app, and it will be completely delisted from the iOS and Google Play stores under the Netflix publisher banner.

For many, this won’t come as a huge surprise. The game has been largely abandoned, and beyond a few minor content updates early on, it has been left to linger, with frequent bugs reported on Reddit.

Because the game requires a constant internet connection (no offline play) and utilizes Netflix’s cloud saving infrastructure, your progression will effectively be locked away once the servers pull the plug for subscribers. While some developers have previously offered save-transfer options to standalone versions of their games when exiting the streamer’s library, Kabam hasn’t announced any such plans just yet.

If you’re currently in the middle of a campaign, grinding arena modes, or just trying to max out your favorite bots, consider this your one-month warning to wrap things up.

This departure continues a noticeable trend we’ve been tracking over the last few years. As Netflix’s initial wave of gaming licensing deals begins to expire, the company has been quietly trimming down its older mobile catalog to make room for newer, high-profile ventures like their recent push into living room party games and massive IP tie-ins. To date, over 50 games have been removed, with some of the other high-profile titles including Tomb Raider: Reloaded, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, and Hades.

Netflix has shaken up its gaming division since it first launched at the tail end of 2021 with a focus on party games, more high-profile licensed pickups like Red Dead Redemption, and kids’ games.

We’ve approached Kabam for comment on the removal to ask whether it’ll live on elsewhere following its departure from Netflix, and will update you should we hear more. Are you disappointed in the removal of TRANSFORMERS Forged to Fight? Let us know in the comments.
