Treehouse Hotel Manchester Adds Rooftop Dining and Suites

Treehouse Hotel Manchester has added rooftop food and drink venues, nine suites, access to padel courts and an outdoor sauna at its Blackfriars Street and Deansgate location.

Treehouse Hotel Manchester has opened Sister Moon, The Nest and The Hideout on its 14th and 15th floors, alongside nine suites on the 11th and 12th floors.

Chef Sam Grainger developed Sister Moon with Luke Cowdrey and Justin Crawford. The restaurant’s menu combines British ingredients with Southeast Asian influences, barbecue techniques and dishes cooked over an open fire. Menu items include red prawn toast with red curry bisque, barbecue octopus with massaman curry, Singapore chilli crab and lobster baked noodles, and an 80-day-aged beef ribeye with black garlic and pepper.

The restaurant will host New Moon Suppers, described as meals built around storytelling, and sound-and-taste pairing events involving food, cocktails and music. Cowdrey and Crawford are also involved in the restaurant’s music programming.

The Nest is a cocktail bar with an agave-led menu. Drinks include the Green Mango Margarita, made with tequila, green mango, yuzu and lime; the Smoked Cherry Harlem, made with mezcal, cherry and ginger mead; and the Gold Light Spritz, made with gin, elderflower, prosecco and lime leaf.

The bar will host Skyline Takeovers with guest DJs and residencies, as well as Golden Hour Rituals with cocktails and special menus. The venue also plans Brand in Residence collaborations involving pop-ups and partnerships with fashion, lifestyle and creative brands.

The Hideout is a rooftop lounge with an outdoor terrace. It is intended for private gatherings, performances, dinner parties and events.

The nine suites include Presidential Suites and interconnecting accommodations. Features include living spaces, walk-in wardrobes, kitchenettes, dining areas and reading nooks. Some suites can be combined into larger accommodations.

House of Black designed the interiors of the new floors in partnership with the Starwood Hotels design team. The spaces include reclaimed wood, textiles, greenery, found objects, pressed flowers, mixed-media works, etched mirrors and wallpaper.

The hotel provides access to The Pollen Club’s two covered padel courts next to the property. The courts operate under a waterproof canopy and offer lessons and tournaments. On Friday evenings, Serve & Social includes padel, DJs, drinks and food from Sister Moon.

The Good Sauna Co. has opened an outdoor area with a wood-fired Finnish sauna, cold plunge and communal campfire area. The hotel’s existing fitness space, The Playground, includes Technogym equipment and classes including movement sessions, group workouts, yoga and guided meditation.

Treehouse Hotel Manchester opened in 2025. The property also includes Pip, an all-day lounge and bar from Chef Mary-Ellen McTague; Flix, a 43-seat screening room; and meeting and event spaces for up to 400 guests.
