“‘Twinkies candy’ are two words I never thought I’d hear together,” wrote one fan as another agreed, simply asking, “Twinkies candy?”
Over on the Junk Food Finds subreddit, fans were similarly baffled, with one redditor commenting that they think it’s probably going to be “bad,” and others declaring, “I hate myself for wanting to try this.”
Though no release date has been announced, nor have any specific stores been flagged for the launch, redditors explained that they expect the candy to arrive at places like Dollar Tree.
Blair Candy, an online candy store, has both items listed as “coming soon” on its website, with an option for interested fans to sign up for an email notification once they become available for purchase.
This isn’t the brand’s first foray into the candy aisle, as it made limited-edition candy canes inspired by Twinkies, Ding Dongs, and Snoballs in the past.
