Vancouver-based sushi chain Hello Nori to open second Toronto location

19 February 20252 Mins Read

One of Vancouver’s most-hyped culinary exports will soon open their second location in Toronto.

Just months after opening their long-anticipated venture into the Toronto market, Vancouver-based sushi chain Hello Nori is gearing up to bring yet another location to Toronto.

Opening its first Toronto location on King West to great enthusiasm from the city’s sushi-loving population (of which I am a proud member) in October of 2024, the chain’s success out east was almost a given.

A self-described hand roll bar, Hello Nori specializes in — you guessed it — hand rolls, all created using premium ingredients and served amid a contemporary environment that delightfully bridges the gap between the charming mom-and-pop sushi spots all over the city and extravagant options like Nobu.

Here, you can dine on options ranging everywhere from tried-and-true classics like Bluefin Tuna and King Salmon rolls to more unique takes such as Truffle Lobster at a, quite frankly, agreeable price for its quality.

And, because a restaurant is nothing in 2025 if it’s not Instagrammable, they also offer a selection of ever-trendy Aburi Oshi sushi alongside colourful, fruity cocktails.

Good news if your mouth started watering at the mere reading of that sentence: Hello Nori will soon be opening yet another location in Toronto.

The next venture for the B.C.-based chain will see the sushi spot take over a space in the heart of the Financial District at 70 York Street.

While the exact opening date for the new location has yet to be confirmed, a representative for Hello Nori does confirm to blogTO that it should be opening soon.

In the meantime, you can get a taste of Hello Nori’s offerings at their innaugural Toronto location, located at 648 King West.

Hello Nori currently operates four locations in B.C. and one in Toronto.
