Vancouver’s only floating tiki bar has onboard karaoke and peak summer vibes

21 July 20254 Mins Read

Summer is best spent on a boat or at a tiki bar, but why choose between the two when you can have both? Two B.C. residents created the ultimate tiki boat and bus tour experience, Tiki Time Tours, which takes passengers on a journey to some of the best wineries, cideries, and craft breweries in the province. So grab your brightest shirts and flower leis, because it’s time to officially turn vacation mode on.

Owned and operated by West Kelowna residents Jason and Carolina Lloyd, Tiki Time Tours offers a whole host of fun experiences in Kelowna, Vancouver, and throughout the Lower Mainland. Their one-of-a-kind custom tiki boats and modern pontoon boats are the perfect places to get into the summer spirit, in more ways than one.

Whether you want to shred the dance floor as you float across Okanagan Lake or check out some local breweries in Port Moody aboard a tiki bus, there’s a tour with your name on it.

Vancouver’s only floating tiki boat

You don’t have to be a tourist or visiting to appreciate Vancouver’s beauty and iconic coastline. Tiki Time offers both public and private boat tours perfect for groups of all sizes. And as Vancouver’s only floating tiki boat, you’re guaranteed a memorable time!

These one-hour excursions take you across False Creek and the Granville Island and Stanley Park waterfront areas, allowing you to pull up a bar stool and enjoy some sips as you take in the city views.

All captains are licensed by Transport Canada.

Available Monday through Thursday between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. ($55 per person), this is a great way to get on the water with a friend or two on a day off or after work in time for sunset.

Its private charters can accommodate up to 12 guests per boat, offered between 9 a.m. and 11 p.m. for $365 per hour.

In addition to an onboard karaoke system, the boats come equipped with party lights, a washroom, and a Bluetooth stereo system — so you can sing your heart out to your own music.

Those who want to explore downtown Vancouver’s local beverage scene can opt for a Mixed Tasting Tour on a tiki bus that goes to a mix of craft breweries, urban wineries, cideries, and distilleries.

Want to make the most of your experience? Tiki Time offers Combo Tours of its boat and bus excursions. Guests start with a bus tour of the region’s best sips and then head to the marina, where their adventure continues with a two-hour boat cruise.

Vancouver tiki boat tours depart from the Xport Marina in False Creek (760 Pacific Blvd.)

Wine & craft beer tours

Ready to take the tiki vibes outside of the city? Tiki Time also has a Fraser Valley Wine Tour and Port Moody Craft Beer Tour you can choose to embark on. The former takes wine lovers to lush vineyards and family-owned wineries in one of Canada’s most exciting wine regions.

Here, passengers will learn about the valley’s unique terroir, the art of winemaking, and the history of the region by expert guides.

The Port Moody Craft Beer Tour allows passengers to sample every type of brew you can imagine, from hoppy to barley, and everything in between.

Note that each bus tour can accommodate up to 24 passengers.

Summer vacation is calling, Vancouver, and it’s time to answer!
