Video Podcasts Have Now Quietly Rolled Out On Netflix Internationally But Libraries Differ

Netflix’s latest genre push has finally arrived outside the United States and Canada. Over the past week, video podcasts have steadily rolled out to international subscribers, following the feature’s initial North American launch in January 2026 (where the library now sits at 46 titles).

When Netflix first announced its podcast initiative late last year—complete with multiple distributor deals—only the US and Canada were initially included. At the time, the streamer only confirmed that “other markets [would] follow.”

Thankfully, international subscribers haven’t had to wait too long.

At the time of writing, the podcast lineup available on Netflix in international regions includes 22 titles. While availability may differ slightly depending on your region, most countries we checked had access to the following:

  • Behind the Bastards (2026)
  • The BobbyCast (2026)
  • The Breakfast Club (2026)
  • Bridgerton: The Official Podcast (2026)
  • Buried Bones – a historical true crime podcast with Kate Winkler Dawson and Paul Holes (2026)
  • Dear Chelsea (2026)
  • In the Test Kitchen (2025)
  • Last Podcast on the Left (2026)
  • Murder with My Husband (2026)
  • My Favorite Murder with Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark (2026)
  • The Pete Davidson Show (2026)
  • The Psychology of your 20s (2026)
  • The Side Dish from America’s Test Kitchen (2026)
  • Skip Intro (2026)
  • Small Town Murder (2026)
  • STASSI with Tay (2026)
  • Stuff They Don’t Want You To Know (2026)
  • Stuff To Blow Your Mind (2026)
  • Stuff You Missed in History Class (2026)
  • Therapuss with Jake Shane (2026)
  • This Is Important (2026)
  • The White House with Michael Irvin (2026)

That’s just under half of the total number of podcasts available in the US and Canada, which stands at 46 titles at the time of writing. The majority of these are structured into two seasons: a “Best-of 2025” collection, and a 2026 playlist that updates weekly with new episodes.

What’s the biggest divide between regions? The sports content. In international territories, Netflix is currently missing all titles from Barstool and The Ringer. However, this gap will soon close, as several of those titles are now showing placeholder pages with episodes scheduled to drop over the next few weeks.

As for accessibility, there are currently no dubbing options for any of the podcasts. Most third-party shows offer English subtitles (with French occasionally available at a push), while some lack subtitles entirely. However, Netflix’s in-house productions—like the Bridgerton companion podcast (which launched on the “Still Watching Netflix” YouTube channel alongside Season 4 Part 1 in lieu of being available for international subs)—feature extensive subtitle options across multiple languages.

How well are podcasts performing on Netflix so far? Honestly, we have absolutely no idea. Not a single podcast has managed to break into the US daily top 10s yet, and our checks on Google Trends came up completely flat.

So, why is Netflix betting on them? It’s cheap entertainment that, at least on paper, has the potential to chew up viewing hours and at the end of the day, Netflix is now an engagement company as much as anything else.

The podcast industry’s viewership metrics have always been notoriously opaque—even more so than streaming. This was perfectly highlighted in a Bloomberg Screentime interview a couple of years ago between Lucas Shaw and The Ringer CEO Bill Simmons (whose network is a major part of Netflix’s new podcast push). When pressed about what audience size constitutes a “hit,” Simmons sidestepped, admitting he tries not to look at audience numbers and comparing the current podcast boom to the Wild West of the mid-2000s blog era.

We’ll hopefully get a clearer picture of viewership when the next Netflix Engagement Report arrives this summer, covering the first half of the year. However, if Netflix logs each podcast episode individually rather than under a single banner, many may clock in under 100,000 views and fail to rank altogether. Given that many of these video podcasts struggle to crack a few tens of thousands of views even on YouTube, our expectations remain extremely modest.

You can find our full list of video podcasts available on Netflix (US library) here. Alternatively, Netflix has a dedicated category page that showcases all the podcasts available in your specific region. You can access it using the genre ID 82696818 or by clicking this link.

Of course, Netflix isn’t the only platform leaning into the format. Recent news suggests that Apple is also joining the video podcast fray.
