Another prestige drama is making its way onto Netflix in the US for the second time and, for the first time, further afield. The AMC Revolutionary War thriller TURN: Washington’s Spies is set to return to Netflix beginning December 10th with all four seasons and all 40 episodes.
Long-time Netflix subscribers may remember TURN from a few years ago. The series had been on the platform for 4 years before departing in December 2021. Now, after a hiatus where it lived exclusively on AMC+, the series is reclaiming its spot in the Netflix library. While it’s returning to the US, its appearance on Netflix in other regions like the United Kingdom is brand new.
Based on Alexander Rose’s non-fiction book Washington’s Spies: The Story of America’s First Spy Ring, the series is a gritty period drama that pulls back the curtain on the untold story of the American Revolution.
The story centers on Abe Woodhull, a cabbage farmer living in British-occupied Long Island. He bands together with a group of childhood friends to form the Culper Ring—an unlikely team of secret agents who help George Washington turn the tide of the war. Unlike the sanitized versions of history often taught in school, TURN depicts the revolution as a messy, morally complex struggle filled with double agents, covert operations, and betrayal.
Who is in the cast?
The series features a strong ensemble cast, led by Jamie Bell (Billy Elliot, Snowpiercer). He’s joined by:
- Jamie Bell as Abraham Woodhull
- Seth Numrich as Ben Tallmadge
- Daniel Henshall as Caleb Brewster
- Heather Lind as Anna Strong
- Owain Yeoman as Benedict Arnold
- Samuel Roukin as John Graves Simcoe
This is one of many AMC shows that have come to Netflix in the US and internationally since Netflix and the network expanded their deal back in August 2025. It’s bringing newer seasons to previously added shows like Dark Winds and Mayfair Witches, as well as many shows that have never streamed on Netflix before. In the United States, a further five AMC shows will be added to the Netflix US library throughout December, including Brockmire, which just dropped, as well as 61st Street, Moonhaven, and Sanctuary: A Witch’s Tale.
