Watch: Lindsay Clancy Nanny Testimony in Full

The Lindsay Clancy trial is set to enter its third week after the jury heard from several key witnesses during week two.

One person who took the stand on day 7 was Elaine Rossi, the woman who Lindsay and her then-husband, Patrick Clancy, hired to help care for their three young children, Cora, Dawson, and Callan.

Elaine stated that she was hired by the Clancys in 2022 after responding to a Facebook post written by Lindsay. She cared for the children three days per week from about 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m and also helped around the house with light chores, including laundry.

“She shared with me that she was suffering from postpartum,” Rossi said during her testimony, which you can watch in full below.

When Rossi was asked if she’d seen anything alarming in the interactions between Lindsay and her kids, Rossi replied, “None at all, she was a wonderful mom.”

“I observed a wonderful mom who loved her kids,” Rossi said. “She was very concerned about their safety. She was very concerned with Callan’s eating and sleeping. She was a wonderful mother.”

Lindsay has admitted to killing her three children but has pleaded not guilty to murder due to lack of criminal responsibility. Her defense claims that she was suffering from postpartum psychosis and was overmedicated at the time of the crime.

People who have been following the case have been sharing their opinions on social media, with many feeling that Lindsay is guilty and others feeling empathy for her. However, Rossi’s testimony struck a chord with many viewers.

“Omg i started crying when she said she was a wonderful mom,” one person wrote on Facebook, adding a broken heart emoji.

“Heartbreaking…’She was a wonderful mom,'” another comment read.

The Lindsay Clancy trial is set to resume on Monday, Aug. 10. The trial is expected to last four to six weeks total.
