Waterford Hotel Group and Maverick Hotels & Restaurants have merged, expanding their combined portfolio to over 50 properties.

Waterford Hotel Group and Maverick Hotels & Restaurants have completed a merger to expand their portfolios and enhance operational efficiency. The merger increases the combined entity’s holdings to more than 50 properties, positioning it as a significant player in the hospitality management sector.

The merger brings together Maverick’s properties, which are primarily located from New England to the Midwest, with Waterford’s existing presence in the Eastern U.S. and its growing footprint in the South Central and Midwest regions. The combined portfolio includes full-service hotels, convention centers, and boutique inns, with notable additions of Marriott and Hilton-branded hotels and New England inns.

This strategic move is designed to enhance the company’s ability to compete with other leading hospitality management firms by expanding its operational scale, brand diversity, and geographic reach. The company is actively pursuing new acquisitions, management contracts, and redevelopment projects in high-demand markets.

The merger also aims to provide new career growth and leadership development opportunities for employees across both organizations.
