We found the cheapest ways to get into the CNE in Toronto this summer

14 August 20264 Mins Read

The Canadian National Exhibition is just weeks away, and if you’re like us, you’re already planning how you’ll be spending your last few days of summer. Nothing sounds better than chowing down on mouthwatering eats and testing out all the midway rides while taking in all the CNE vibes. There’s lots to do for those two iconic weeks, but if we’re being real, it can put a dent in your wallet. Not to worry, there are ways to save cash, starting with your CNE admission.

Tickets are already on sale! Though perfect for securing your experience ahead of time, Advance tickets aren’t the only way to save on CNE admission.

How to get cheap CNE tickets in Toronto

How much is regular CNE admission?

Before we jump into discounted tickets, let’s cover how much CNE actually costs.

Though it’s not yet shared on the official website, a CNE representative confirmed to Curiocity that the General Adult Admission (age 14 to 64) will be $30 (including taxes/fees) if purchased online or in person during the fair.

If purchased online, a processing fee may be added.

Are CNE tickets cheaper before opening day?

Now, if you want to beat the line and get your hands on discounted tickets, you might want to purchase them now before the Aug. 20 deadline.

Advance tickets have been available for a few months now and are currently available for $25.11.

It’s important to note that all advance tickets include a $2.99 processing fee, plus applicable taxes. Prices will increase after Aug. 20.

Any PRESTO discounts?

If you’re a PRESTO card holder, you can take advantage of some stellar discounts.

According to the CNE website, PRESTO cardholders can save up to 39 per cent on Ride All Day tickets and up to 22 per cent on regularly priced admission on or before Aug. 20 with PRESTO Perks.

“Starting Aug. 21, PRESTO cardholders can save up to 31 per cent on Ride All Day tickets and up to 12 per cent on regularly priced admission,” shares the website.

Can kids get into the CNE for free?

Here’s a special treat. Now until Aug. 20, 2026, school kids aged five to 13 can get a Kid’s Pass online for free. This includes grounds admission and access to all shows and exhibits on any one day of the CNE.

This special deal ends Aug. 20 at 11:59 p.m.

Are there CNE discounts for visitors with disabilities?

In the past, just like other Toronto attractions, the CNE offers its guests with disabilities a 50% discount on regularly-priced CNE admission upon self-declaration to CNE gate staff.

This discount applies to “in-person” purchases at the CNE entry gates only.

“If a guest with a disability requires assistance during their CNE visit, they receive complimentary admission for their support person upon presentation of an Access 2 Card,” shares the official website.

“This special CNE discount is not available online.”

What is the Ride All Day Pass? Is it worth it?

For CNE fanatics, you’ve probably purchased a Ride All Day pass in the past. It’s a special ticket that lets you hop on midway rides as many times as you like.

There are two options – you can either get one of these passes online which includes CNE admission, totalling $85 plus fees. Or, you can purchase it in person for $55 plus fees, but that’s without the admission ticket.

What about CNE Concert tickets? Do they include admission?

Now, if you’re interested in catching one of the incredible acts coming to the Bell SOUNDSTAGE at the Bandshell, you’ll be glad to know your admission to the CNE is also your ticket to these shows.

If you get your Advance Sale tickets online, you can watch faves like Jojo, Lupe Fiasco and even Shaggy for less than $30.

And there you have it! Save some of that hard-earned money on entry and spend it on other things at the CNE!

When: Aug. 21 to Sept. 27, 2026
Where: Toronto’s Exhibition Place north of Lake Shore Boulevard West between Strachan & Dufferin Streets
