In the age of ever-present social media, there are more options than ever when considering beauty and anti-aging skin care routines.

In 2023, the average Canadian household spent $1,860 on personal care, according to Statistics Canada, with 66.2 per cent of these sales driven by consumer spending on makeup, skin care, manicure and fragrance products.

And as we get older, especially in our 50s, Canadians are deciding what their own personal beauty journeys look like, from trying creams or seeing dermatologists, to having surgeries or doing nothing at all.

For a future story, we want to hear from Canadians who are in their 50s on what their skincare and beauty routines look like. Have you had cosmetic surgery done? Are you opting to age naturally? How much do you spend on products? Do you feel any pressure from influencer and celebrity culture when it comes to aging? What does aging gracefully look like for you?

Share your thoughts in the box below, or send us an email at [email protected]. If you’d like to submit a photo, send it using this link.
