Genshin Impact version 5.8 is coming soon, adding the yearly summer-themed event for some fun in the sun. Unlike previous summer events, the area added as part of this event will be permanent, so while you will need to complete the events within a set time, you’ll be free to explore the area at your own pace.
Below, we explain when Genshin Impact maintenance starts and ends, alongside the release time of version 5.8. We’ve also added some details about what to expect from Genshin Impact patch 5.8.
What time does Genshin Impact go down for maintenance?
Genshin Impact will go down for maintenance on Tuesday, July 29 or Wednesday, July 30 (depending on your time zone) at the following times and will be unavailable for approximately five hours:
Make sure to burn your resin before maintenance starts, if you wanted to, but also keep in mind that the new battle pass will start after the game comes back from maintenance, so you may want to hold on to some of it.
What time does Genshin Impact version 5.8 start?
Genshin Impact should come back from maintenance with the 5.8 version at the following times:
The servers may come up early or late, depending on how maintenance goes, but these are the approximate times 5.8 should go live. Usually Hoyoverse is pretty good by abiding by maintenance times. We don’t usually get extended maintenance, but it usually does end around an hour earlier than their given times.
What’s new in Genshin Impact version 5.8?
The big summer patch is upon us, with the usual yearly limited-time event that has you exploring a fantastical world with some featured specific characters. This time we’ll be exploring with Mualani, Chasca, Venti, and Bennett. Our beloved Pyro four-star boy will also be getting a skin as part of this event, so you won’t want to miss out on it. I mean, everyone’s comps are still using Bennett, right?.
As part of the summer event, there’ll be a paint-shooting mini-game, as well as a platforming mini-game, and even a shooting-gallery game. Separate from the summer event, there’ll be a photo-taking event again, where you can snap some fun shots of your favorite characters from Teyvat.
